and are planning on voting in the upcoming special election on may 19th:

on prop 1A there are some shenanigans going on.

proposition 1A is being passed off as a spending limit on state government. however here is what it actually does...
the language in 1A ties spending limits to tax increases. basically, as long as the legislature raises taxes to pay for it they can spend as much as they like.

the second thing it does is extend the tax increases that were just passed from 2 years to four years... thats right, the "spending limit" bill will INCREASE the length of time the new tax hikes will be in effect for... by two years!

finally what to me is the most reprehensible piece of this farce; this information is not being allowed to be printed in the official arguments for or against this measure.

so... im not going to try and tell you how to vote. but if you are going to vote please do anything you can to get informed on what you are voting for.

oh yeah... dont take my word for it. >>> Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association article

Good Christ this state is 4,265 kinds of fail. The Democrats in CA Legislature CAN'T STOP SPENDING!!!!! This is some real shady ****. Real. Shady. ****.

Nobody learned from the previous debacle when CA drove out businesses with high taxes. State's revenue dried up like landfish's love life in record time. Now they wanna do it again. Brilliant.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.
