Unreal Tournament 3 for $11.99 on Steam this weekend

It includes the new 2.0 patch and free Titan Pack, which adds a lot of very high quality content.

UT3 was "meh" when I bought it awhile ago, so I hope this patch makes things atleast a little better.

A bit annoying that I uninstalled it but now I can install it via Steam. Yay.

Strange really, when the first screens of UT3 came out, everyone was drooling over it. But when the game finally was release, the reaction was lukewarm.

I've been a fan of UT since... well, the beginning. Don't have UT3 yet, though.

I was one who bought UT2003 - and was sorely disappointed. But after they fixed all the bugs, I love UT2004.

The $11.99 is REALLY tempting, but I'm afraid the download size will be too big and take too long for my wimpy DSL.

Yeah, you might want to replace that gefroce with something better. :)

I for one aspire to overtake JLee as the Deal Man of Massassi <_<

I would normally jump on something like this, but I am so apathetic about it. UT3 just doesn't look exciting. Or really that much more fun.

Just so everyone knows, you can use a retail copies CD key on steam, and to install it for use with steam install it to the Steam/Steamapps/common directory.

Wish they were selling a PC that could run it for $11.99 T.T

Haha, you suck!

My 8800gt flies through UT3 with a 60+ FPS.

UT3 was nice (got the Unreal Deal Pack around the time Steam became FINNRACIST) - and it worked quite nice on my 8600GT - but nothing more than a graphical update on UT2k4 ... and not to mention lacking any of the charm that UT had. Oh well.

One of the levels, in space, is gorgeous and an absolute blast.

For 11.99, I'd do it.

Actually have this game and will be playing it all spring break because of the new patch with games modes.

They have a new betrayal mode its crazy awesome. Cant even explain it, you kill people as a team and you can then kill your team mates with a special shot and then you go rouge and get the points in the pot or something then they can avenge themeselves by killing you and once 30 seconds are up you get a random team.

Why not? UE3 sucks, but it's not that hard on hardware.

Well, I was just pointing out how I had already answered to Deadman's inquiry :P

I can run UT3 games pretty swell with my system but trying to edit them is a big no-no.

My 8800GT can run it fine all maxed aswell, maybe you just have a bad card or old drivers?

I can guarantee that an 8600gts can play the game maxed with a fairly good framerate. The only issue was the small memory size, at around 256MB GDDR3. We had to lower the texture settings or monitor resolution to avoid choppyness.

But if you have a GDDR3 8600gt (512mb - there's a GDDR2 model out there, not sure which one you've got), I see no reason why you couldn't max this game out.

Maybe if you didn't call your graphics card gay it would work.
