omfg new speaker problem

ok I'm read through the tiny manual and it says nothing.

My iPod is on the quite-est possible setting. I have MAX volume down to barely anything. I have song song down to barely anything.
I have the twist nob on the sub down to barely anything. I've held the lower volume button on the iPod dock for several minutes.

I click play, and it's freaking BLASTING.
I mean, cool, my new speakers are freaking powerful. But WTF it's too loud.

Anyone know what could possibly be my issue?

Connecting through my computer, it plays fine. But iPod wtf

Speakers probably have a separate volume from the sub.

Or you accidentally turned one or more of the various sound options UP instead of down.

Nope, I triple checked.
Also, changing the volume has no effect.
Min or max, it blasts.
I mean I can just use the aux cable ... but it's got a freaking slot to put your iPod in. I want to use it lol.

If there is anything I have learned in my life, it's that just because there is a slot you can use, doesn't mean you should use it.

*immature giggle*
Fincham: Where are you going?
Me: I have no idea
Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.
