Windows 2k, XP or above: Hit Ctrl+Alt+Del, read the 'logged on date', subtract from current date.

Windows ME or lower: ???

Linux, *BSD: type 'uptime' at any terminal.

I have windows XP and I still can't find the uptime.

Main Machine: 30 days, 7 hours, 34 minutes, 7 seconds.

Router: 51 days, 21 hours, 52 minutes, but it's rolled over at least twice, and thats around 128 days.

My longest ever uptime was like 5 weeks.

Right now its like 1 day, because unlike lame linux nerds, I'm constantly tweaking things in my PC (hardware or otherwise) and that sometimes requires a reboot. Oh, and that time I shorted out the USB 5V+ to the data wire. Insta-reboot. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

...You have a point. Any linux user who didnt tweak his system would be pretty lame... The good news is, though, tweaking Linux rarely, if ever, requires a restart...
