Apparently we (Fargo, ND) are going to have pretty much the worst flood ever. I was driving around yesterday and the city has been taken over by Army personnel in humvees and Coast Guard helicopters are flying over all the time, which feels strange since the nearest coast is 1,500 miles away.
To make things even worse, it rained all day yesterday and then snowed last night. We're supposed to have a total of 10 more inches of snow by tonight. I took a few pictures yesterday, but it's kind of hard to tell just how high it is if you're not used to what it should be. It was easily the highest I've ever seen, and the river has risen 4 feet since I took the pictures, but is supposed to rise another 5 or 6 feet by Friday or Saturday.
