That basement is the ****. All it needs is some leather couches and a 52" TV and your all set.

Theres a basement in those photos?
nope.

Indeed. Fourth picture. Part of the reason why this place is a bit of a steal at $135,000.

Also, and you can't see it, but there's a hobbit doorway between the living room and the dining room (a semi-circle). Unfortunately, I'm so tall that I can only walk through the exact middle of it without cocking my head to one side or the other.

Where the hell do you live that you need to be a homeowner to vote?
I was expecting this to be a "I TURNED 18" thread.

That is a hell of a deal for that price!
Any house for that price is a good deal, but with that yard and square footage damn nice deal!
I agree with Kirby. Set up a speedball course in your back yard.
And add a bar to the basement. Houses with entrance first floor and floor exits on basement rock. I grew up in a house like that. Total entertainment awesomeness.

Someone fails at their history hardcore.

:suicide: I'm never going to hear the end of that, am I? (You forgot the countering part)

I guess I'm missing something here.

I've been voting since I was 18. Unless you are talking about local stuff. I honestly do not care about local voting so I've never done it, and as such - do not know the requirements. Ignorance +1. *shrugs*

Back in earlier days, only landowners could vote.

Also, congrats, Wolfy.

fixed

I still don't get the reference to voting. Again, I'm ignorant. If it's about past history .. I must have missed the reference to referring to years old history.
2009-03-28, 8:29 PM #22
Well judging from the title I thought the same thing about being 18, but then I saw the OP was wolfy, and I know for a fact hes over 18, so it was either he bought a house.. or a slave o.0

As for the reference to voting, hes equating his recent purchase of land to older voting standards in pre-civil war era.

(I'm not exactly sure if black americans were given the right to vote immediately after emancipation proclamation either so theres my disclaimer before Jon'C, Emon or the likes comes down on my ***.)

$135,000 doesn't get me anything in britland. Besides, I wouldn't even be able to afford the (fairly typical) 20% deposit.

Here $135,000 USD would get you a 500 square foot condo or a 1000 square foot mobile home in a really bad part of town.

I could buy a sub-800sq ft house in the town I work for about $200k.

Hooray, FHA loans and 3.5% down.

I don't have the 20%, so I'll be shelling out PMI for a few years...

Better cut down those trees.

A house just like that one in my neighborhood was split almost right in half by a tree.

A hundred year old wild cherry tree fell on my parents house and all it did was break one support and punch a hole in the roof.
