Looking for a decent sub to replace what I've got. Current setup

Toshiba 1080p 56" DLP
Onkyo HTIB something something receiver
Replaced Onkyo center channel with a Polk Audio something or another that's clearer

P4 3.0HT with CoreAVC sitting in another room with HDMI run to the TV for awesome 1080p rips :awesome:

The 4 other speakers that came with the Onkyo sound alright, and they are mounted up on the walls so couldnt really replace them with anything bigger.

The sub sounds like *** though. It's powered by the receiver and usually just distorts. Any of you know of anything decent I should get in the $300-500 range?

no... i have a polk PSW10... nowhere near as nice

but i have a friend with a VTF-1
