Most of you know, I'm pretty much an impulse gamer. I get an urge to play a game, I play it. Lately, I've been playing my Doom collection, (with Zdoom running for improved gameplay.) Let me know what you've been playing lately.
obviously you've never been able to harness the power of cleavage...

Sunday was spent playing Mass Effect, still working through Sands of Time, and whenever there's people on the server I like, Battlefield 2 (Special Forces expansion recently).

Why not go one step further and download GZDoom?

My friends recently decided some Starcraft would be fun, so every weekend I've been getting together and LANing up some Starcraft. And I'm always picking up GZDoom to play some custom WAD or even the original levels when I get bored.
I had a blog. It sucked.

Been playing Duke Nukem on live a lot. Good times.

I've been playing World of Goo, I found it at target for 15 bucks. It's pretty fun. I've also been playing Gears of War 2 (since I got an HDTV finally), but none of this is nostalgic, sorry.

I did replay doom (found a doom 1, 2, FINAL DOOM) package a while ago and played in 3d on linux, totally rocked.

It took me a week to get STALKER running just the way I like it, and by god it was worth it. I must have over 60 hours in that game.

(Ignore the ridiculously high medic/soldier numbers, that was the result of accidentally joining a modded server for a while :/)

That said, I'm getting back into Pokemon. Yay for Firered making a classic game awesome again.

I played them for a bit last year ... not as fun as I remember when I was a little kid.

I totally played Chips Challenge a couple months ago. That was fun.

I want to play MDK for an oldie... I wonder if you can even download it ...

Those are the "nostalgic games" I've been playing. Newers games include Killzone2 and Crysis Sandbox2 (editing).

Half-life 2 - I'd played it once before on my old housemates computer.

Now I finally have something better than an ancient and temperamental laptop I'm doing all sorts of catch up for the last 4 years.

GTA Chinatown Wars.

Does it count as nostalgia if it feels like I'm playing an old game? I don't mean that in a bad way, but Chinatown Wars feels a lot more like a modern revival of the original rather than a progressive sequel.

Oh, something else I just played recently:

Earthworm Jim!

1 and 2 were awesome.

And I also got my Riven back out to play again.

I always give the classic doom series a complete run through at least once a year. I don't intentionally do it, but I always end up getting an urge to start playing them again late into the year. I've been doing it since they came out back in 91, 92.
