Whoa.

Not putting any spoilers in the original post because of the mouseover, but I really did not see that coming.
If you think the waiters are rude, you should see the manager.

I'm watching it right now. About halfway through the episode. I didn't see it coming either... most I've been hanging on for the next revelation in a House episode in a long time.

Agh! They didn't explain it. They'd better explain it later. (Although I guess it's "fitting/artistic" that they didn't ... for once, like Wilson said, House didn't see it coming when it mattered arguably the most).

I wish I had TV

yeah this weeks episode was a total shock to me. i hope they take this in an interesting direction you can't just kill off a major character and do nothing about it later.

They're not going to explain it. I'm pretty sure that was the point. Sometimes people just kill themselves when no one could possibly have expected it, and for no readily apparent reason.

I had it spoiled for me because I haven't watched any TV at all this season :\

Personally, I am disappointed at a useless plot change.

On another note I wonder who's going to fill in the gap.

I guessing real-life reasons (read: Kal Penn not being available for the show anymore) motivated it.

I do think they executed it pretty well, though.

I wish there was a way I could see this episode, haven't read spoilers. Any place online where I could watch this?
Nothing to see here, move along.

I've already found it and saw it. Sad episode.

So apparently it happened because Kal Penn is looking to accept a position working in the White House.

In other words

OBAMA KILLED KUTNER <_<

In any case, I really liked this episode. I thought the writing was really well-constructed, thought out and meaningful (even if it possibly required more thought than an initial watching of the episode for most people to recognize/appreciate). Reading the interview, I'm glad to see that it's been planned for quite some time and not just a random spur-of-the-moment write-off (which it didn't feel like at all).

I was really touched by the inclusion of the phonenumber to NAMI at the end, I thought that was thoughtful.

useless? You must not like this show then. They do things like this all the time

Well, I love the show, but I just thought after "the *****" died, they wouldn't be killing off anyone else. At least not any main characters. I could have seen 13 later on due to her condition but Kutner? I still have mixed feelings about it.

On another note, I just looked up Kal on wikipedia, its funny because he always plays these teenage moron roles, but hes actually very smart and educated.

Pommy, great find. I enjoyed reading that.

I've only seen a couple House episodes in the past month.. I don't ever remember seeing him? Was he just on a short while?
Either way, he'll always be the white castle craving stoner to me.

uh... this was his second season as a member of House's team
2009-04-07, 2:42 PM #27
ARG! I thought I was safe from spoilers entering this thread, clearly not. =|
Well I'll come back to it after I get to see the episode, which I believe is tomorrow night.

i have faith that the next few episodes will explain everything

Can we get "(spoilers)" added to the thread title? I'd assumed people would expect spoilers, or at least be wary enough not to take the chance, but I don't want to be the cause of this getting ruined for anyone else.

That was pretty darn unexpected. But it was explained to some extent. Wilson figured out House's motivations, and the photo House was looking at at the end said that it was what it appeared to be.

I always found tributes and tribute videos for movie/show characters to be a little odd and over the top.

I mean, its just a TV show. Its not like Kal Penn actually died, although when I saw the suicide hotline thing at the end of the show I had to google just to be sure.
