World of Warcraft advice

Serious pollers only please.

So I am making a twink undead rogue (on the server Dragonmaw). I am specced entirely combat. Now I would like some advice.

I bought Dazzling Longsword (currently equipped in main hand) and Speedsteel Rapier (currently equipped in off hand). Remember as I am a rogue, this means I am no longer able to use backstab or ambush since I am not weilding a dagger in my main hand. Not that big a deal for a combat rogue. Anyway, while making runs of RFD for gear, I happened to pick up Coldrage Dagger and now I am having a dilemma. Do I stay with what I've got and enjoy the extra agil and stam on the speedsteel rapier, or do I swap the dazzling longsword to my offhand and weild the coldrage dagger in my main hand for the higher base dps, faster attack speed, chance to freeze, and ability to use backstab?

Here also is a link to the character in the armory. Keep in mind, I am only roughly halfway done.
Mossburg on Dragonmaw

[also, suggest a ranged weapon, preferably something with agil and/or stam bonuses]

And for thread interaction, post your own characters (twink or othewise), and post pictures, links, PvP stories, etc. or make fun of me with references to sex during WoW.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Players can fight against each other in battlegrounds as they level up.

A twink levels up to the highest level for a particular battleground, and spends hundreds and hundreds of gold to get the very best equipment, enchants, etc. that are possible for his level, giving him an unholy advantage against the other players.

I've done it before, and that makes me a dirty whore. Personally I won't shed a tear if Blizzard is truly killing twinking.

They can't "get rid of twinking." Even if they nerf us down to pre-bc enchants and no leg armor kits, we'll still be running around with epic swords and gear. It won't level the playing field. It will just lower the standards of gameplay all around.

I'm starting to realize though that Blizzard is getting stupid. I noticed first when Death Knights started running around harassing and stealing resources from lower level players. Seriously, starting them at lvl 55 is so stupid.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Erm, no its not, especially since you're instanced until you're level 60. And by then you have no reasons to be on Azeroth. The Death Knights you see harassing are just like any other idiot behind hunters or rogues who harass others. Every class can be brought up to level 55, so your point is pretty moot.

Allowing twinking was always stupid, and it has always made it impossible to catch a few fun and fair pvp matches before hitting the level cap without having to spend tons of gold on gear and enchants. I for one hope that they do find a solution.

Enchants are *way* more potent than gear at 19, 29, even 39.

You're missing the point about dk's. I'm not talking about a high lvl character going into a lowbie area and ganking the opposite faction. I'm talking about lvl 55 death knights with lvl 1 fishing/first aid/cooking/professions running through and farming all the resources so those of us legitimately trying to level are sitting there waiting for respawns constantly. And you said it yourself, you can always lvl a rogue or hunter or whatever up to 55 (and its especially easy since they lowered the lvling requirenments) and be getting your professions up as you go.

Oh well when it comes to professions I agree. Why they didn't allow for DK's to pick a profession and start at the appropriate level is beyond me.

I'll give you the actual definition.

A twink is a character who has been or is being twinked. It originates from gay slang for a young man who can attract a sugar daddy. I will leave the specific details of this terminology to your imagination.

Twinking is a form of powergaming and metagaming. Twinking is the process by which a powerful character is used to accelerate the advancement of a lower-level character. This can include gifts of resources and equipment, indirect assistance through means such as magical enchantments, or direct assistance killing enemies and completing quests.

That's the literal definition of twinking, as it is and has been used in every MMORPG and MUD for decades. Except for WoW. It means something much more specific in WoW, but almost no WoW players are aware of this because most of them are idiots. Some guy probably heard a MMORPG veteran calling someone a twink in a battleground and, much like the little kid who thinks 'jerking off' is when you do up your pants and shout "get out of my room you little ****", made an incorrect word association. i.e.:

Twinking is dumb. If you want PVP, go play a better PVP game.

No, twinking in WoW is using high-level gear in a low-level battleground (whether you obtained the gear legitimately through your character's own means or not).

Powerlevelling is a lot more broad than just twinking.

Put mongoose on the dazzling longsword, put it in your offhand, and get the blue pvp reward sword from WSG for your mainhand, and put mongoose on that too. The harder hitting, slower weapon should always be in your mainhand slot.

You should respec. Combat is a PvE spec for rogues, it has no PvP utility. Generally, people either get swords and go sublety (which focuses on stunlocking) or get daggers and go assassination (which bursts the targets down). Since you already have the best sublety offhand, spec sublety. Open with cheap shot, hit them with hemo a few times, and then kidney shot. If you want to go assassination, go double daggers and get 15 agility on both. The BoA daggers are perfect if you have a high level char.

Other than that, for enchants you want as much agility as you can stack. You should get Gloves of Holy Might (or something along those lines, epic level 37 gloves) and put 15 agility on it. Daggerspine is an older server so you shouldn't have trouble finding someone with it. Get a cloak with high agi, I believe theres an engineering one (you should have that profession maxed btw) and put 12 agi on it, etc. When I had a 39 twink, I got it to 25% crit and it could crit with hemo for 800 on cloth, which is close to one shotting caster twinks.

For combat, the key for sublety is it's name. Pick out single targets, rape them, go back into stealth and wait for cooldowns to come back up.

Edit: twinking is Joncee's profession >.>

If Mongoose doesn't work then just go double 15 agi.

When did they change it?
