I was driving to wendy's and I had to slow down for 2 black cats in single file to cross the road. So my question is that does the 2nd black cat nullify any bad consequences that the first cat brings?

Once two black cats ran in front of my car, the first one made it but I plowed the 2nd one (not on purpose I was doing 45mph).. that cat shouldn't have crossed my black cars path
