I've had some problems with my macbook:
*cd won't come out of macbook
*Macbook won't shutdown/restart, only shuts down with force

The CD not coming out is the main problem. It does not show up under the "devices" when usually my blank cd's do.
any suggestions on what to do?

Basicly the problem with the Macbook drive is a common one, the slot loading drive slot bracket, they seem to warp after a while, Apple know of this issue so should cover it under warrenty, phone Apple Care and get a Customer Satisfaction code out of them and it wont cost you a penny.

With the machine not shutting down try reinstalling the OS and see if that helps.

turn it on with the eject button held down. that usually works

Haha, not sure why but this made me laugh. I honestly can't tell if it was made for a windows fail or a apple fail (considering the ipod interface article has nothing to do with Macs or Windows)
