I heard it played terribly when people first tried it out. There were issues that the game couldn't autobalance teams because the game enforces people to choose sides, thus you have games like 12 vs 5.

But that was many, many months ago when the game was open to testing. So I'm guessing things should have changed.

Also, I heard, despite the game being free, there are some elements of the game open to charging at the player's free will. Is that true? I'm guessing things like extra costumes, but I hope not more powerful weapons and stats.

With everyone running around with special, unique customized characters, wouldn't spotting the enemy easily become an issue? Maybe someone who got into beta can answer that.

When I registered I found it amusing that they completely forgot the vietnam checkbox when then asked what games I had played in the past.

I had performance and input lag problems even though I meet the requirements.

The IE/Firefox requirement is a useless gimmick, it doesn't even run in the browser like Quake Live does (not that I think Quake Live has any business running in a web browser).

Also most players will have better weapons than you from day 1. Have fun.

I just noticed something.
Dice did do a Vietnam game, it just didn't do so well.

That was my point.

It was alright until some things got nerfed and you couldnt leave a capture point without being NAPALMED TO DEATH.

But mortars and making a getaway on mopeds was funky. And you could blast a bunch of popular tunes from the time out of the jeeps/tanks/Helicopters.

...And Flight of the Valkyries. :D

Duh there was a whole thing back when it was announced "Battlefield Heroes is TF2 with hats."

Of course TF2 is getting hats now...
