Do any exist?

Last week a friend of mine showed me a video of one singer who sounds a lot like Freddie Mercury and would be great at singing Queen, but I can't remember his name. I don't think he has ever sung Queen, though.

Well, Mika doesn't sound a lot like Freddy Mercury, but he's got a sort of similar range, and is apparently influenced by him... that who you're thinking of, by chance?

Yes, that's him. I would say that he sounds a lot like him, his voice similar characteristics.

Yeah, after I posted that video and listened to it again, I'd have to say you're right.

BTBAM - Bicycle
Think while it's still legal.

I love Julia Nunez, and I don't really listen to Queen, but that really didn't work.

That said, Bicycle Race gets stuck in my head at least once a week.

I've always liked The Vandals' version of Don't Stop me Now

Man, all traces of subtlety, nuance, contrast, and flow have been removed in that cover -_-.

That's why I love it

You people seem to have a huge reading comprehension problem:

The only band that can cover Queen is Queen. That's why you can't find any.

That was fairly horrible.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Not even. Don't get me wrong. The Queen version is a nice hard rock song, but Metallica takes it up another notch that's really fitting given the type of song it is.

To be honest I hate Stone Cold Crazy no matter who plays it.

This album has a bunch of Queen covers by different bands. I hate fewer of them than I thought I would. Breaking Benjamin's cover is actually pretty decent... Flaming Lips does a decent BoHap, and a fun cover of 39 from Ingram Hill.

They are still vastly inferior.

At the Freddie Tribute concert George Michael does an epic version of Somebody to Love. It's one of the few covers I not only tolerate but frickin' love. And I'm a massive Queen geek btw. :P

Metallica's Stone Cold Crazy is definitely the best I've heard. I believed they performed that at freddie's tribute concert
"His Will Was Set, And Only Death Would Break It"

"None knows what the new day shall bring him"
