me? Maine
You can dive comfortably about half the year.
2009-05-08, 11:04 AM #17
Bah, in what, muddy lakes? I could do that in TX if I wanted to -_-. :P

Have you ever dived in a more tropical location? South/Central America?
2009-05-08, 11:41 AM #18
My parents spend half year in florida... I have dove out of juptiter before ... crossed paths with lemon sharks, tropical fish, huge manta rays, sea turtles.

Yea, visability in maine sucks.
I got my advance certification out of a lake (my parents also have a house on). We dove off a rock wall 100+ down.

There is great ocean dives around here though. A couple ship wrecks are around ... some great drifts ... other good sites ..

Chamonix valley, France. I'm not going to be doing anything too hardcore, I've never even been on a glacier before so I'll spend a good bit of time learning the basics and crapping myself about crevasses. I'm taking the mountain bike for the fabled 1hr+ singletrack descents to be had round there :awesome:

Tonight my friends want to get together and play some Halo for the first time since last summer. Tomorrow I'm hanging out with my girlfriend. Sunday I'm wishing my mom a happy Mother's Day and spending the day with my family.

Edit- jumping out of a helicopter sounds fun. Hope you enjoy it Oxy, don't cut your head off. How high up are you going to be jumping from?
I had a blog. It sucked.
