No, Central Europe. :( I own a Tokyo Marui Glock 17 airsoft replica (3rd generation) though, but I don't think that counts.

If I ever did own guns, I'd want to be trained to my liking in them first, and if I did that, I'd want to train myself in various other combat methods as well.

Ford: Same.

I have a Springfield XD45 compact in dark earth/black which I carry daily (when not at work, because they expressly forbid us from carrying weapons of any kind, AND I work on a college campus), a 12 gauge remington 870 express 28" wood stock, and a ruger mini-14 wood stock. I also have just BARELY enough ammunition for any scenario with even a one-in-a-billion chance of happening (no use having guns if you can't pick'em up at a moment's notice).

BUT thanks to Obama, and more specifically rednecks who don't understand that Obama and his mildly-insane democratic congress would never get away with any bans on guns or ammunition, I have been unable to stock up any further for regular range time or other shooting fun. All I've got is basically enough to fill the couple magazines I have, and a 25 shot bandolier for my shotgun. No fun!

I'm saving up a couple hundred this summer to take some more advanced training classes in Tulsa. They ain't cheap, though, and as I said, I'm having a hard time finding ammunition to train with. :(

Yeah, nothing good ever came of British people having guns. They have a habit of turning un-British. ;)

Those aren't all supposed to be on there at once, it just shows all of the different options.

even with just a few of those options i want to puke... all an AR-15 needs is an A1 style upper and stock IMO
eat right, exercise, die anyway
2009-05-11, 10:56 PM #51
...An A1 style upper? This isn't ****ing Vietnam. I personally love the M4 Picatinny Flat-Top I have on my AR-15.
2009-05-11, 11:34 PM #52
rails are for people who jerk off to counterstrike
eat right, exercise, die anyway
2009-05-11, 11:44 PM #53
...says the guy who doesn't even own an AR-15. I'm not even talking about a forearm kit with rails.. I'm talking about the top of the reciever having Picatinny rails. Effective for an unlimited array of options for optics, etc.

Here is a picture for an example:

This is neither the model or make of the rifle I own, just an example of a similar upper as what I own.

that's because wood and steel > plastic and steel
eat right, exercise, die anyway

Unless you're going for lightweight. ;) But I do love the look of wood and steel. That's why I got the ruger.

I don't understand what you mean, but I do know they have a habit of turning others un-alive.

:v:
nope.

Touche, my friend! But sometimes it's better him than me. Or rather, a gun is only as good or bad as how you use it. Plus, they're just 10 kinds of FUN when NOT used for killing. :D

Im all for police etc having weapons, just not the nutjob public.

:P
nope.
2009-05-13, 11:44 AM #61
I guess we're cool, then, 'cause I'm not a nutjob! :) If I was I think I'd probably just do whatever I wanted anyway.

My next gun will be a very small concealable one. maybe a revolver or one of those keltecs. Something slim probably would be better. I guess that'll mean only half my guns have wood on them. :(

Custom wood grips FTW?
woot!

Maybe if I can find the right revolver, that's slim enough. My dad is a pretty good woodworker, maybe he can MAKE me custom wood grips out of local wood. Then I'd have redneck street-cred.
