The vast majority of the time I buy the CD, when I don't I buy digital downloads. The last time I pirated songs, with the exception of some IRC DCC sends from people who wanted me to hear a particular song, was in the Napster days. I'm usually pretty poor but that to me doesn't justify piracy.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

I buy most of my music.

But I get stuff from friends too. Some of the music they have on their mp3 players or whatever. You know how that goes. 'Dude, you should really check this out.'

I guess you need a 'from friends' option too.

Its really a combination of private sites, vinyl, CD, and digital downloads. The former is definitely the most-used, however.

To me it isnt so much my brokeness as much as it is me getting a bunch of songs from a particular band I like and then realizing they only really had one good song and everything else would've been a waste of money to get.

I listen to the radio pretty much every day.

Other than that, CDs and some places like Pirate Bay when I'm too skint, but I'll usually buy said CD later. That said I've been making HEAVY use of Spotify for while - It's pretty spanking awesome.

excellent source to get free concert tickets.

i usually buy cds when i go to a show, if i like the band. other than that occasionally from itunes.
