Can't find Disk 1, want to play JK SP, pulling hair out!

There are means to solve your problems...
But there is a price!

Or you could just buy it again?

to be more specific, take that file from your jk cd 2 and copy it to your resource directory.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Yes, that will make it so the game thinks you always have disc 2 in the drive. Not disc 1. Sarn fail. :saddowns:

Will that cause problems? I've used JK CD1's JK_.cd with JK CD 2 stuff and it has accepted it as long as I've repeatedly pressed OK (or was it Cancel?) when it has prompted for it. Should work vice versa. Maybe. Beh.

My JK crashes miserably whenever it asks for Disk 2. I mean, the message comes up for 1 second and WHAM, back to desktop.

I can't continue with Fuel Dump and later levels. :(

If you use the jk cd trick, it will never ask you for a disk right?
2009-05-20, 12:08 PM #9
It will but the prompts just go away for me

It prompts you at the transition because by default all the videos are on the disks, the first half on disk one and the second half on disk two. I noticed that it was weird if you copied all the videos to the correct resource dir -- it will indeed play them off your HD then. However, if you have the jkcd file copied into your jk dir, it will only play the videos originally from whatever disk you copied the jkcd file from.

There is a much much simpler way of doing this.

Use debug mode in Patch Commander, because it skips cutscenes.

You guys fail, none of this works.

No, you fail. It's foolproof.

I succeed after getting JK_.cd sent to me by another member. Method described here fails.

It does this for my downloaded discs, but not my original copies. And yes, it was cancel. :)
