So, it looks like the demo for this game (on xbox anyway) was a time-limited thing. It's no longer available. Does anyone know what the point of that is?

Yea .. lame. I don't know. I remember the Xbox I bought online was for a kid so I couldn't download it due to age limit. And I wasn't going to start a new account when it had like 6 months left. Then I go and make my account and it's gone

it was a demo for about a week on PC, right before the game launched, and then they closed it down

Probably so they wouldn't have to manage a separate matchmaking server and dedicated servers for a game that they weren't making any money off of. Those things cost a lot y'know.

Plus they'd have to patch the demo for exploits and keep the code in sync with the full game, which is also a lot of work.

Same here.

And a PC that worked well.

Right now my only gaming partner is my girlfriend, and that mostly involves following her with a henchman while she plays Fable 2. Fun enough. Or playing ultimate alliance.
