Example: The revs on my Corolla are around 3500 in 6th going 80mph too. The shift points are close to keep the revs high (and thus the power high), so really the 6th gear is only provided to make up for that.

Feels like I could use a 6th gear at highway speeds, but not needing to downshift to hit boost is nice.
