A MAN who was shot by police after kidnapping two children and then shipped off to be cremated was found to be alive by funeral workers who heard him groan, state media and local officials said today.

Zhang Kailin, 36, was shot at point-blank range and fell to the ground from a five-storey window ledge after a tense two-hour standoff at a school in central Hebei province Tuesday, the Beijing Daily Messenger said.

In short:

- Man kidnaps child in high-rise, photographed leaning out the window.
- Policeman goes out on window ledge and shoots the kidnapper in the head.
- The kidnapper falls five stories, presumed dead.
- The kidnapper later awakes in a coffin, about to be cremated.

Umm how exactly does that man survive a gunshot to head and fall off a five story building? By the way, I admire the way the Chinese police handled the situation. The police in the U.S. should be more efficient like that.

One thing I don't get is why waste a perfectly good coffin in cremation? Just dump the body in there and hope it fits.

Yeah but where do you draw the line.. Sure, if someone does something half bad, like an unarmed robbery or whatever, sure, go do procedure and stuff. But when it comes to someone else's life, or the stupid criminal, Don't you think it would be wise to take out the criminal? Screw this "OH we need proceedure crap so we dont get lawsuits"... Trust me, if u do nothing, and the victim gets hurt...You have more problems on your hands than you would the criminal.

Screw procedure in cases like that, the whole "slap on the hand" routine is done and over. We don't live in a world where you can tell someone to not do something, and they will obey. We live in a BAAD world. We need to forget about procedures, and start taking action. If someone takes action against you, TAKE ACTION BACK.

Not taking action is what I believe has led the world to the way it is, and yes, that includes terrorism. Someone rapes a girl, gets life or 7 years...Someone kills someone, they get not even life in some cases, or they get life (Whoopdeedoo), then they get put in jail. Fed and clothed, and kept away from the victims family and society (which of course hates them now), safe in a nice little cell (and no i dont care what jails are like, that means crap).

I'm sorry, but if you come up to me and put a gun in my face, i'm going to try and kill you...Or at least beat the living crap out of you. I mean, since i have a gun in my face, im probably going to die so i might as well die with a fight. I dont care if I go to jail, or whatever. I'm not a violent person by nature, however, if you threaten my life, it's your *** .

...that's so... not cool to just bust up and shoot him in the head like that. Sure it's bad, but unless he was threatening to throw the kids out the window I dont see why they couldnt just arrest him.

So...wait...A complete stranger kidnaps your child...Which is in itself putting the childs life in danger...Sits inside a large open window, with the child there beside him...And you want them to be civil...What would you do in this case, throw some words at him?..

Hell, I'd run up the stairs and push him out myself if he even THOUGHT of touching my kid.

Shooting the guy was a really risky decision anyway, he could easily have pulled that child with him down.

Quite obviously the guy's a zombie, and soon a wave of undead asians hungry for human flesh will sweep across the world.
