OMG!

I donno how I missed this one. It was simply amazing, from beginning to end. Give it a whirl if you haven't already. I enjoyed this more then Imperial Siege on Derra IV. It's on JKHub only, so you may have missed it for this reason (I did).

Any other gems I'm missing?

I remember that. It's probably his worst work ever. The first level of MJ:IC was so much better.
2009-05-29, 5:01 PM #3
btw, wth is MJ:IC?

And since when it J-u-z-t-y-n's name profanity? He do something heinous?

The best single player JK engine experience I had were Anthony Piggot's MotS levels (Birth of a Mercenary and Tales of a Mercenary IIRC).

Also I remember a MotS level where you played as an android, and I remember that level being really cool too. The title had something to do with "gears," but I really can't remember now.

OOoohhh... Gears of the Force. I loved that one.

MJ:IC = Mara Jade : Identity Crisis.

It was Juz's baby. The project eventually died when it was just me and Juz working on it.

I can't decide between Siege on Derra IV and Siege of Vol Kanst by Jason Burton.

Obviously the winner is Planet Sith. :ninja:

(Yeah, I actually played it and even *gasp* enjoyed it for its crappiness...)

Vol Kanst is the clear winner, and has been for like forever.

Siege on Derra IV.

the one with gordon freeman.

Imperial Siege on Derra IV is easily one of the best. Imperial Pumping Station was great. BoaM:SE and the ToaM levels are amazing.

... okay, it seems like I actually have to go through every JKHub project's download page to find all these recent levels that I've missed.

I can't really decide on the best SP levels, but you can't go wrong with entries like BoaM:SE, ToaM 1 +2, Leeza's Destiny 3, Siege on Derra IV, Life of a Merchant series, Mechanics of the Force (I'M GRUMPY AND I DON'T WANNA TALK), anything by Elmo (especially the unfinished ones), Liberating Cloud City, Rebel Agent, Warzone series, Life of Grismath series (if I could only get saving the game work in Log2 grr) and...

... well, actually despite all the neat levels out there I can just give one answer and that would be BoaM:SE. Hooray for AKPiggott!

I remember enjoying "One Rebel's Sacrifice" quite a bit but I haven't played it in years.

haha, I play Planet Sith all the time. It's the best level to test new weapons packs on thanks to the large clusters of enemies. Just make sure Devmode is on so you can skip the intro.

Unfortunately, I've played all the aforementioned levels... looks like Juz-tyn's last SP level was the only one I missed. Guys, if you haven't played this level yet, DO IT! I stand by my remarks. The layout was awesome, and the puzzles were very intuitive. That and it takes like 45+ minutes to complete. Good times.

It's Mechanics of the Force, and it's freaking awesome, if a bit buggy with the quicksaves.

One Rebel's Sacrifice was also epic.

One time I made a REALLY big sector and put a ton ton ton of storm troopers and you spawn on a platform in the air. Pretty sure that was the best SP level.
2009-05-30, 12:00 PM #27
You just described Planet Sith.

Planet Sith was the ultimate mod testing level.

There was a really cool freighter interior level I loved (I think it was Dead Reckoning 3). AND THEN I got to the next level, the interior of an exploding Star Destroyer which was a massive headache. I like The New Empire the most, because it was a full-on story with characters and what not, even if level design was kinda WTFish.

Well obviously its Planet Sith, since most of you guys still speak so fondly of it.

God, I just tried playing Planet Sith again... got to that bar with the hundreds of enemies and stopped. fffuuu-

So, uh, Siege on Vol Kanst isn't on Massassi anymore. I googled it and there were no results. Someone want to send it to me? :)
DO NOT WANT.

You should be able to download Siege on Vol Kanst here.
? :)

I'm surprised to hear One Rebel's Sacrifice mentioned multiple times. That's a real oldie... and made by C@rni, too, who iirc was banned from the old forum system for racist remarks (or something to that effect).

Am I the only one who didn't particularly enjoy Imperial Siege on Derra IV? Once you got into the tower, you are presented with objectives with easy-to-miss or unclear solutions. I liked the "elevator puzzle" where you had to set the 2 elevators at different levels to us them as platforms. But besides that, eh....

I barely remember any of them. Perhaps I should drink less..
