You can't really make a fair comparison there. One is an adventure game while the other is a FPS. That being said, Alice was a GG. My girlfriend absolutely loved it.

Yea, man, can't you see the graphics and stuff? Man screenshots, videos! I might as well have played it. I know exactly how it will be, and AMA ownz it. Don't try to change the subject. Alice is a FPS mostly too as you kill stuff all along the way, the puzzles just add to the uber gameplay!

Look. If you haven't TOUCHED the game at all, you can't judge jack about it. The guy playing in the videos can be a complete and total moron. If he's a moron, that means you aren't seeing anything good, because he doesn't know how to play. Screenshots show you what the game LOOKS like, they DO NOT show you how it plays.

Now, for all I know, Half-Life 2 will, indeed, suck in terms of gameplay. But I'm withholding judgement until that game is released and people have played it.

You would be very wise to do the same. Otherwise you make yourself out to be a fool who doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.

I've always wanted to try that game, it looks so artistic, and exactly the sort of emotions I felt after watching the movie. As soon as that movie got over (And the same after reading the original book), I thought it should have had a morbid twist somewhere in there. Would have been my favorite movie, had it.

And good god, you're opinions from now on are completelly invalid on anything until you can accept the fact that you, my friend, know nothing. "I know exactly how it'll play because I've never actually played it"

well at least pheonix SORT of hit on my point. *roll*. Yea, the game is fun. You'll find lots of cool little details. The combat can be kind of repetitive, but it's worth it to try the weapons and see the level design and ideas that made it the twisted world it is.

I played the demo years ago and thought it was the bee's knees. I've seen the game floating around in bargain bins, I probably should go and buy it.

Personally, if Half-Life 2 played out the same way as Half-Life 1, I wouldn't be disapointed in the least. Half-Life's gameplay was solid and I'd be more than happy to get more of it.
