He's definitely pro, but he's also not doing Parkour. He's freerunning for sure, but guys like that are why kids who try the sport get hurt without proper training. They try to do mad flips because they assume that's what the sport is about.:carl:

I really really enjoyed that. I agree that he probably should have warned people not to try to recreate some of his stunts, but I still think that was seriously entertaining.

yeah but just cause he can do something amazing, doesn't mean it's his fault there's retarded kids in this world.

Also, that's one of the most impressive parkour-type video's I've ever seen.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

isnt parkour about, how can i use the terrain and environment around me the the best use in order to run away, kind of type of thing?

2009-05-31, 1:53 PM #6
That's exactly what it is (well, hopefully not the running away part :P ), flips are unnecessary. But cool as hell. What that video is, is free-running and gymnastics.

[EDIT: On further viewing, that guy did do a little bit of parkour, and could easily do legit parkour, but he's so f***ing talented at gymnastics that he might as well be doing all those flips. :P]
DO NOT WANT.

(this is why I said "parkour-type" not "parkour". But I'm not really sure what to call what he was doing...)

That was extremely awesome.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

If you see the original video on Youtube, it just says Showreel 2009. He's not saying it's Parkour.

Frankly, he's pretty amazing. Flat out.

And about disclaimers - is that really necessary? He's clearly extremely skilled. Do you expect a disclaimer on gymnastics videos? Or skiing videos?

Also: I saw this three weeks ago. :p
