Ok, somehow, somewhere, somebody got a hold of my wife's name, address, and who knows what else. Anyway, I just looked at our mail server to see how much junk is getting filtered out before it gets sent to my inbox, and since May 14th, I've had 877 messages blocked. Another 8-9 make it past to my inbox daily.
We've even gotten spam in our postal mailbox, addressed to her with plans/promises to earn money at home or something.

I've never had a spam problem this big. Short of changing email addresses, I'm not sure what else to do.

Suggestions?

Can you not make stupid retarded tags like "spam spam and more spam?" The tag system is barely functional because of people like you.

If they send you mail with postage paid return, just slap it on a crate of brinks or something and send it right back.

877 spam messages, 17 days, 52 Spam messages in your spam folder per day. That's really not that many.

I've gotten 1011 in the last 30 days. Only 1 of them actually made it to my inbox.

But yeah, I was wondering about the volume of spam you guys have.

I get over 100 pieces of spam a day, all of which is filtered out by my server's spamassassin system. Spamassassin is ridiculous, it makes Google's filters look like toys. It's never once had a false positive in the ~3 years I've used it, and only misses maybe one piece of spam a week. I trust it so much now that I have instructed it to simply delete any email it thinks is spam, although I used to have it just mark all email as spam and filter it out when it arrived.

I find google spam filter to be pretty excellent.

I probably get like 10-20 spam messages a day, on top of the multiple spam-bot registration email activations I get on a phpBB3 software I run..

....people actually use the tags?
