Stomach cramps when you wake up...
2004-08-24, 11:20 PM #1
Does anyone else get that? I get those everytime I'm forced to wake up before I've had a good night's sleep. When I don't set an alarm and just wake up naturally, I'm fine. Odd.

I used to get cramps in my hamstrings after a physically demanding day, soccer or lacrosse practice, hiking, rock climbing, etc. They woke me up.

A good stretch after extrenious workouts lessened chances of soreness/cramping the next morning. All that lactic acid won't be accumulated in muscles.

Sometimes when I wake up, my chest hurts when I try to take deep breaths.

Flex, have you been eating glass? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

That would explain those stomach cramps...

What kinds of things do you usually eat or drink the day before (namely in the evening)?
Do you take in a lot of acidic foods or beverages?
Or caffeine?

For a healty meal, eat mashed potatoes, peas, and catloaf.

Worship Examples - Christians' love for God should be seen and heard, not merely talked about. It is through actions that one is determined to be Christian, not through words. Words (and thoughts, as well) deceive even one's own self, but the heart speaks truth.

Is your bed uncomfortable?

Have you been sleeping with someone who punches and kicks during sleep?

are a good sign to stop eating burritoes before going to bed.

Seriously though, I have that problem sometimes (or something similar)... Not sure what causes it, but it usually goes away for me after about a half hour or so... And just like you said, it doesn't happen when I wake up naturally.
