Apparently it's the fault of air speed sensors. Air speed sensors which Airbus told them to replace a year ago.

Yep, I smell some huge lawsuits coming up in the next weeks due to this fact alone.

I heard a rumor that Sarah Silverman was on that plane.

I do not know how such a rumor could be started, but it is, unfortunately, entirely fabricated. :(
