This is just some cool ****.

Making objects from this resin may have great advantages for a many medical applications. If, for example, a child has a heart valve disorder, a 3D digital image of the heart valve can be created using a CT scanner. The model in the stereolithograph can be copied exactly with the new resin. If the structure is made porous, the child’s own cells can be placed on it. This porosity also gives nutrients access to the cells. Ultimately, after the carrier structure has broken down, only the natural tissue remains.

The applications for this as astounding.

Make a robotic/mechanical limb and cover it with this stuff then skin will grow over it and you'll have a mechanical limb with real skin and nerves growing over it.

Robotic penis?

LOL! I was thinking the same thing...

So they like remake an organ, and... mix it with your cells, tissue, etc, and eventually you will replace it?
Nothing to see here, move along.

Yes. That is exactly what it says restated in a profoundly stupid way.

Excuse me if I want to sum up an article in one sentence.

I'm not happy until my pelvis has hydraulics.

And yes thats insanely cool.
nope.

Folks around here expect a 10 page essay in MLA format, using 20 adjectives rarely spoken in the english language. The last 3 pages should be compare and contrast. Don't forget the bibliography and works cited.

You should know this by now.

I'm sure he can read the word "comprehension" just fine.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Why would you put both?

Why not hydraulics hidden behind synthetic muscles?

The "breakthrough" here is that they developed one of a number of currently existing materials that can be made into tissue engineering scaffolds by stereolithography. The applications they mention in the article can be said for any other existing material used for scaffolds, but I guess being sensational is part of being a layman's science writer. Wake me up when bioengineering students start learning math, transport phenomena and address the glaring mass transfer limitations with current scaffold and bioreactor designs.

I don't think it'd be wise to try to use this technology (or any other) to rebuild your penis. Risks, are risks. Why not just learn how to use it, instead of trying to get a new tool?
Nothing to see here, move along.

Besides, to rebuild your dick you'd have to lose it first.

Think about it, man. Think about it.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.
