Deaf people don't play violins.

Why would they even be attracted to it?

At least she'll never know how much she sucks. :colbert:

Or rocks. But no way would a taped together violin sound so good.

Its...................****ing shampoo.

Pantiene exec one: Hey I've got a great idea! Lets create a commercial in the form of a short film, we'll put alot of feel good values into it and plenty of emotion! That will bring our company back in the light with consumers and make us more reputable!

Pantiene exec two: Great idea! Nothing I like more then a company circle jerk after a successful add campaign!

Beethoven played and composed after he became completely dead. Deaf people can enjoy music, primarily via the vibrations. I believe Beethoven put a stick of wood between his piano and mouth to allow him to sense the vibrations more strongly

Is that like Tupac and Elvis?

Anyway, I watched this when I got home at 5am this morning after an incredibly long shift. I think part of me suspected I'd already passed out and dreamed this whole thread.

I would edit my post to say 'deaf', but it's already been quoted so that would be rude.

I was going to post exactly what Detty did. Deaf people can learn to play the violin by feeling the vibrations through their jaw.

A good ad like that can bring huge attention to the company, the beauty of advertising is the ad doesn't have to have anything to do with the actual product. For other awesome ads see the guinness ones.
nope.

But it does. See how her hair is waving around, so smooth and silky? Pantene!

"Good" ad or not it's still stupid.

I thought it was pretty cool until she was onstage and her hair was freaking out like Medusa.

I was thinking to myself when her hair was flying around "This looks like a shampoo commercial."

I was not disappointed.

I liked the bit where she won. And pantene came up. That was great.

I thought it was good until the fact that the girl before her was clearly better. But then I realized that she must be very talented for her one violin to sound like the whole violin section of an orchestra.

(that aside, I really liked the ad)
Fincham: Where are you going?
Me: I have no idea
Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.

I read it as deaf, I didn't realize the mistake until it was pointed out

But a violin held together with clear tape would sound like ****

Don't you know? It's not about how good you are, it's about how much harder it is for you to achieve something than someone else. It doesn't matter if the person sucks at it, if they had to struggle then they're the better player! I mean, duh.
2009-06-15, 11:57 AM #26
the girl before was technically better, but it sounded like a piano version of bad guitar shredding. whereas i will never stop enjoying canon in d.

This would have been fine if it was a short film, but its a commercial for shampoo. Thus ruined.
