Oh my sweet gentle Jesus.

I heard the "Hallelujah!" sound at the end, and if they bring back the holy hand grenade... :awesome:

EVERYONE WILL BUY THIS, AND WE WILL ALL PLAY.

Agreed, Tony.

They're apparently bringing it out on PC and Mac too at a later date, which is handy but I don't want to pay for Gold just to play worms.
nope.
2009-06-18, 6:16 AM #9
I'll buy it on ALL OF THEM if I have to.

Looks like they added back all the stuff they stupidly removed for the PSN version. Awesome!

If they can pull strings of magic and make it possible to play with console players from the PC version, that'd be awesome.

I miss this game a lot. After talking about it in my highschool art class, we ended up pooling all of our money and buying an N64 and Worms Armageddon to have during lunch. It's still up there and the new students still play it at lunch.

Good times.

:psyduck: is displeased. HYPNOTOAD IS ANGRY.
nope.
2009-06-18, 12:48 PM #15
This is one of those games that is just awesome.
2009-06-18, 9:57 PM #16
Hmm I always assumed the console versions HAD all the stuff from the older PC versions ALREADY. :P

Anyone use http://worms2d.info/The_Fiddler back in the day?

I remember making Holy Hand Grenade Air Strikes and Super Banana Bomb Air Strikes.

2009-06-18, 10:02 PM #17
I remember making custom versions of the super banana bomb in one of the games (the Windows one that had non-fullscreen windows until you started playing), they split into other bombs that split into other bombs :awesome:

I remember v1 of worms on the PC where by being sneaky with holding space (I can't remember exactly how the trick was done) you could make the minigun fire bazookas.

That was FUN.

I am ashamed to admit I never played worms. Is it basically like pocket tanks or howitzer? If so, that's awesome, and I've definitely been missing out! :hist101:
DO NOT WANT.

I played the original Worms long ago. This doesn't seem much different from the first Armageddon game though.

Worms has always been essentially the same game, they just upgrade the graphics/physics/content with each one.

And it always just seems as fresh as the first one. :D
nope.

I used to play Liero all the time, had it on the computers in ROTC. Custom weapon sets, I made an awesome one that only dealt with bananas. Actually played that before I played Worms, Liero had a much better ninja rope system.

Except for Worms 3D and all of those iterations. They just kind of sucked.

Ugh, really? I absolutely hated the ds one.
I went back to playing the worms I had on my old mobile phone over the ds one, I found it that bad.

The first one was poop, but the second one is much better.

I liked worms 3D a little, but it did feel a bit lacking.
