We finally got my Father an iPod shuffle. At first he examined it with suspicion, but now that he has figured out how to use it and is listening to all of his favorite music I put on for him, he's ecstatic.

we were gonna do that for my dad. then we realized he doesnt even know how to turn on a computer, so it probably wouldnt be the best of ideas.

That's why the shuffle is perfect. You load up all of his music onto it, and then he can skip songs he doesn't like. Doesn't allow him to pick specific songs, but if he's anything like my dad "Well that's how the radio works! Except no commercials, and I can skip."

I got my dad a travel grooming kit - nail clippers, a little mirror, clothes brush etc all in a little leather pouch. It's very smart.

Then we sat in the garden and drunk german beer. :D

Got her dad 2 utility knives. seriously, the man is almost 60 and didnt own a decent utility knife. he was trying to cut up carpet with those ****ty things with snap off blades. *shudder*

I spent the day down at the Metrodome seeing the Twins play with my dad, he bought me my first beer, and completely enjoyed himself. it was awesome.
