Games you've spent the most time playing...

I loaded up my old football manager game and the gametime said 8 days :ninja: (although I did 'go on holiday' for most of it. honest).

But this got me thinking. What are the top five/ten games that you've spent the most time on, and how long do you think it has been? I need to think about this for a while...

Final Fantasy 7, Diablo 2, World of Warcraft... those are probably the games I've wasted most time on.

Final Fantasy 7, then 8.

Multiple playthroughs on each, several with total times over 100 hours.

i tried to load up final fantasy 7 the other day. i got half an hour into it then realized i'd have to spend 6 hours till i got out of Midgar and quit. thats my only gripe with the final fantasy games - the introductions are very tedius...

Hmmm...

Jedi Knight/Mots because of all the mods and sp missions

Thief 1 & 2 - because it takes a long time to go through them, plus there are some great fan missions too

However, I played the first 2 about 10 times longer than any of the others. Actually, I still play both of them every chance I get.

You know, I'm not sure. Maybe Final Fantasy XI, considering that it's an MMO and I've played for the better part of five years. Actually, probably definitely FFXI. I'm fairly sure I've clocked in at least a hundred days, maybe as many as a hundred and fifty.

I daresay a few contenders would be FFVIII (which I've completed the most), Morrowind (because it's so bloody big) and STALKER (which is probably the closest thing I can get to an ideal shooter, really. Especially with mods.)

In some order, probably Oblivion, Fallout 3, Civilization II, Mass Effect, and Counterstrike.

Maybe also Kingdom of Loathing.

JK probably has to be mentioned. I could never accurately recall how much I played that game, but it was a big part of my younger days.

More recently, Shadow Hearts: Covenant was one of the very few games I actively stalled finishing just so I could try and do everything. I played through the original MGS many a time, more if you count The Twin Snakes. The many variants of PES have had me hooked, too. Fallout 1 + 2, Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate (+ the sequel and expansion) have also had me captively playing them for many, many hours.

It's not up there yet, but Fable 2 has the potential to be one of my most-played games, as I find myself in a similar situation as with Shadow Hearts: Covenant but with less to do.

On the PC, I know it's JK and JA. Probably Clone Campaigns, too. Recently, The Sims 2 and Civilization IV. On the Xbox 360 it's probably CoD4, Assassin's Creed, CoD5 and Guitar Hero: World Tour.

Call of Duty and Call of Duty 2. Not sure which had more hours, CoD1 was before xfire really caught on so I have a lot of hours unclocked.
