Is this game worth buying? I need something to distract me for a while.

Not for 50 bucks (I saw that the Diablo 2 package was still going at 50$ (CAN) out here the other day)

Get diablo 2 for sure. Once that gets boring, look up Eastern Sun 3.00. It adds so much replayability, revamps literally everything in the game and adds loads of new stuff. :awesome:
DO NOT WANT.

I bought it for 5$ from GoGamer the other day.

What's this Eastern Sun 3.00??? Something that will cause hours of my life to disappear all over again within the Diablo realm???

Yes, it is. I already sacrificed hours of my life to it and it's great. :XD:

It's not as entertaining as a lot of people would lead you to believe, but it's definitely worth a play-through or two. The game drags a bit in the middle (mid-end of Act 2, all of Act 3) but if you can slog through it the ending and expansion are pretty fun.

You can sink a solid 60 hours into that game before taking a break.

Highly addictive, especially if you play with a few friends over LAN/Private battlenet game (I actually recommend playing this way.)

Protip: never, ever play your single-player character on "Open Battle.net" as it's called. Open Battle.net is nothing more than a cesspool of hacked characters and kids crashing games.

Closed Battle.net is a lot better though (hacks exist but rare, hacked items exist but are obvious, duped items aren't nearly the problem they used to be).

I played through the campaign for the first time over battlenet with a friend last summer. She insisted we keep in touch after I stopped playing Warcraft so she offered me one of her two cd keys. Playing with an other, especially using Skype to talk at the same time is pretty fun. Barbarian whirlwind for the win.

The game is definately entertaining when playing with someone else.

Moreso when the other player is a surprisingly good looking lass with one hell of a voice. :P

LAN is the best, play it on Nightmare or Hell with 2 or 3 buddies.
