I just wanted to let you all know, that Muse is the greatest band ever, and this latest album makes all of their previous efforts seem like steaming piles of poop- This coming from a person who loves every Muse album dearly.

If you get a chance to see them on tour, please do, and if you haven't check out Muse yet, please- also do that. Also, when the album comes out, please buy two copies each.

Talk about how amazing Muse is ITT.

Think while it's still legal.

Glad you didn't put this in the Music Forum - I wouldn't probably have spotted it. I <3 Muse.

Black Holes was poop compared to the other 3 albums.

That's why I'm not overly excited for this, disregarding the 3-part symphony.
nope.

What's that? I have tickets to see them twice? ... oh wait, nobody asked :downswords:
Magrucko Daines and the Crypt of Crola (2007)
Magrucko Daines and the Dark Youth (2010)
Magrucko Daines and the Vertical City (2016)

1) Absolution
2) Black Holes and Revelations
3) Origin of Symmetry
4) Showbiz
5) Hullabaloo

In that order for me. Origins of Symmetry is a little unlucky actually, New Born then Bliss is my favourite start to any album ever.

So you've heard the new album? That's suprising...

I agree though, Muse rocks. I want to get tickets to go see them at the O2 Arena while I'm in the UK. I'm willing to travel though around Europe to see the. They are #1 on my "must see in concert" list right now.

Origin of Symmetry is my favorite album by far. Microcuts is probably my favorite song

I don't think you can even compare Matt Bellamy and his genius to Daron Malakian and his heroin. Bellamy is a classically trained musician who can out-play just about any musician on the piano, guitar, and vocally.

I LOVE System of a Down, and they'll always be "number one" to me, but in terms of pure talent and musical ability, Muse wins hands down.

Also, I didn't get the album illegally (I've gotten some PM's asking), I just heard a watermarked copy that we got in the Warner Bros. office. It's epic. The symphony is going to make you poop yourself.

Matt Bellamy cheats when playing Bliss live. It's understandable, quite hard to do the fast arpeggios and singing, but if you're going to claim he can outplay just about anyone, I'd say that's a stretch.

ITT: Sajns new bandwagon.

Somehow I have a hard time trusting a WB intern promoting a WB product.

But I like Muse, so I'll get it when it comes out anyway.

ITT: Tiberium shows he's a dumb*** once again. I've been listening to Muse since before most people knew them in the US. I have an original import of Showbiz for crap-sake.

There are plenty of bands I hate on this label- plus I'm working for Serjical Strike Records, it's part of WB, but we don't work with Muse or Green Day or anyone like that, we just all share office space. Also, Serj and Muse have a history together, but trust me, I've been a HUGE Muse fan, this doesn't have anything to do with working at WBR- this has to do with Bellamy melting sacks.

You're suggesting that he is better than almost every vocalist, pianist and guitarist in the world? No, no, you have definitely not heard anywhere near enough music to make that kind of judgment call. That, or you're delusional. Judging by your past movie and music tastes, I'd say both.

I think that's guy's probably a p. damn good pianist, his vocal range is p. impressive, his guitar skills are fine, and his writing is kewl, but i mean... he's not the jesus **** ::awesomelon::

I seriously tried listening to Muse before, but I found the sound very tiring. I don't mean musically, I mean physically. I liked the grand sound but, at least of the songs I listened to, were so poorly recorded that they caused listening fatigue in under a minute. It's not their fault, but the combination was hard for me to listen through.

Edit: I just listened to Bliss again. On top of the usual compression, I can't stand the lo-fi effect put over many vocals. Franz Ferdinand does this. It ****ing sucks. It either disguises flaws in the singer's voice or ruins a perfectly good voice.

x2.

Although my only difference in opinion is that the other CDs were mediocre while Absolution was amazing. I haven't heard the new CD yet... here's hoping it's more of 'Absolution'.
Lyrics are highly overrated.

Good, that should mean it should leak soon if it's done :). This will be an album I will buy for sure though, Muse is probably 1 of 3 bands I like that I will be out there right away to buy a CD for.

I'm only counting studio albums, Hullabaloo was half b-sides, half live recordings.

The beginning kind of reminded me of Castlevania for some reason. Anyhow, the only reason I know what Muse is because of that Watchmen trailer song.

Coming from England, and seeing Muse probably years before you yanks even heard of them, I feel it's fair for me to say that nothing compares in this country to Muse. If you like music, you should like Muse. It's that simple ... and as England has the best music in the world, then they surely must be the best band at the moment, right?

:D

*lights the spark*

System of a Down? That's like comparing the Harjassk Diplomacy to Tales of a Mercenary 2. Keeping the comparison in the jedi knight realm :v:

I was going to disagree with you about England having the best music in the world, then I remembered most dubstep is from there, Squarepusher's from there, and you guys had Floyd (I could give a **** about the Beatles and the Stones, sorry).

But then again France has Justice, and New York has the Glitch Mob (Though admittedly Rusko, the best part of the Glitch Mob is from York), but then you got hip hop where we have Atmosphere, E&A, Tribe, Mos Def and **** it I'm rambling.
