I'm going to see it tomorrow morning with my entire family, since we saw Borat as a family on its opening weekend.

I'll tell you guys how it is tomorrow, but I just hope it is as good or better than Borat.

Well if you've ever watched the Ali G show, Bruno was usually a funnier character than Borat just because the fashion people he'd talk to were so easy to make fun of. The movie should be pretty good, I think.
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.

Borat was a turd, and Bruno will be a steamer.

Just got back from the midnight showing. Actually funnier than I expected. Definitely not high comedy, but I laughed heartily at most of the movie.

I saw Borat, thought parts were funny, but didn't like it. I think this looks stupid. I mean, I'm sure I'll laugh, but I don't want to spend money on it or anything.

I just got back from seeing it. My family LOVED it. I mean, the swinger's party was a little awkward to watch with my parents , but they thought it was hilarious.

I wouldn't say I laughed as much as I did with Borat, but ended up laughing harder than I did with Borat. Cohen really went all out with the film.

I would give it a 8.9 out of 10. Very funny and enjoyable.

Bruno is one of those movies (like Borat) that I know I hate strictly off of the trailers. Ridiculously stupid movie, not even remotely funny.

A more eloquent version of what I was thinking. Ebert pretty much hits all points.

I'm unsure if I want to see it. I thought Borat was good, but it got old.......quickly

I just really don't know how in the world he could make another movie with another character and nobody on the face of the Earth not consider that it's Cohen. Not to mention that some of the stunts in the trailer look TOO staged. I think it would be alright, but it just seems like Borat 2. Guy with funny accent makes people look stupid with CRAZZZYY ANTICS.

This is all he's ever done. I don't understand why his career survived past 1999 and didn't die along with Dom Jolly's.
nope.

I think that he continues to pull this off for various reasons. Most people are stupid. There are also people that don't watch television. I know how ridiculous that sounds, but it's true. I also think that he's a great actor. While some of his stuff may look staged to many of us, I actually attended a screening of Borat with several co-workers that weren't previously aware of Cohen & they actually thought that it was some sort of documentary, that he was from Khazikstan & found much of the movie to be offensive. In the end I still think it just comes down to plain, old-fashioned, stupidity.
? :)

This movie made Borat look PG, and it made gay porn look straight. Great movie. :awesomelon:

I really enjoyed the film; there's a good chance I laughed more often during Bruno than I did during Borat. More aspects of the movie seemed staged than Borat, but after doing a little reading, it seems that some of the more shocking aspects were genuine. That both amuses and terrifies me...

Dom Joly still does stuff, just sadly not Trigger Happy TV.

Well, off the top of my head he did World Shut Your Mouth and Dom Joly's Happy Hour. He also did that Made In Britain programme recently where he had to replace all the stuff in his house with products made in the UK. I'm probably missing something.

Well, even if they did (I'm in no mood to research), they're certainly more current than 1999.

I agree. Ali G also happens to be funnier than Borat or Bruno, if you ask me.
