I was bored and needing something to do this evening, so I got online and grabbed a couple tickets to see the Giants vs the Padres, at home in San Fran.
Moseyed over to the ballpark and as it it turns out, I got to witness Jonathan Sanchez of the Giants throw a no-hitter. For those who know what this means, cherish history! For those who don't know what this means, a no-hitter is when the starting pitcher for a baseball team pitches the entire game without needing to be replaced with another pitcher (due to fatigue or otherwise) and in doing so, did not allow a single opposing batter to get a hit. He also did not walk any batters or hit any batters. The only baserunner was by result of fielder error. This makes tonight one of the top 25 baseball pitching performances of the last 125 some odd years. It's extremely rare and a Giants pitcher has not thrown a no-hitter since 1976. It was one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
