What the title says. Here are the games I have so far:

Sonic 1
Sonic 2
Sonic 3
Sonic & Knuckles
Jurassic Park
Ecco: Tides of Time

I'd prefer multiplayer titles and/or fighting games (as I also have an arcade stick).

I am horrified that you only mentioned 2 & 3.

As I said on facebook, Micro Machines games have up to 4 players. I personally loved Military Micro Machines. :D
nope.

If I had a Genesis, I probably would be playing Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, and Sonic 3 + Sonic & Knuckles exclusively.

I wish I had one, only for Sonic.

One of these days I will achieve my life-long ambition of beat Rings of Power, the hardest RPG I've played. To be honest it's not a very fun game, but it was such an open game for its time that I feel obliged to try.

You can pick one up for the equivalent of $10, and if you get a Mega-Drive II model most of them came with Sonic built-in.
nope.

I have one upstairs. It's in a bin of other useless electronics.

Meanwhile, the NES is padded and sealed in a box.
2009-07-17, 3:09 PM #17
If you have Micro Machines with a J-Cart you can have 8 players.
2009-07-17, 3:13 PM #18
I forgot about the 2 person per controller thing! :D

And JM, the NES was a different generation to the Mega Drive.

The NES's Sega Competitor was the Master System.
nope.

Listen to this man.

Also Desert Strike.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

AH!!
That's what I was thinking of in my other post.
The X strike games....awesome.
Urban Strike is another .... and I think Jungle Strike. They were cooler than other games since the cartrige was bigger and they had a yellow tab.

If I get my hands on a multi-tap, I'll certainly look out for Micro Machines. And I'll definitely keep an eye out for most of that stuff! Thanks everyone! (Keep them coming if there's more suggestions, of course).

I just want to reiterate Landstalker. It took me about 2 months to beat while I was growing up. It gives you 4 save slots. It's a fun little RPG.

Now that I think of it you also ought to check out General Chaos.

I actually did play that on an emulator and nearly forgot about that! General Chaos was a quirky game indeed.

I don't think it works (oddly enough) with a multi tap, you need the cartridge with two extra ports built into it. You can get 4 players with 2 pads anyway with sharing.
2009-07-18, 10:04 AM #29
oh, and for single player fun: desert, jungle and urban strike are awesome.
2009-07-18, 2:11 PM #30
Aye most of the micro machines games came in a special cartridge called a J-Cart.

nope.

Even though it was kinda crappy, I really enjoyed Cyborg Justice.
2009-07-19, 5:18 AM #34
Desert/Jungle/Urban Strike
Flashback (although I played that on the Amiga, whatever you can play this on you should)
Streets of Rage (+ the sequels)
Golden Axe (same)
Sensible World of Soccer, although that might be a Brit thing despite the mistake in the title

Shadowrun looked interesting, but I never got very far in it. Either I struggled with the controls or found it too hard when I was younger.
