If what I quoted is indeed what you are paraphrasing, despite having not read it, you missed the entire point of what was being said.

Here, I'll paraphrase. I could also be wrong, because I've never read the whole book. Just the last couple of paragraphs.

If man ever truly, completely understands why we and the universe exist, we will know the intentions of the creator.

This is not to say that there is a creator, but rather if there is some sort of meaning to our existence then it is impossible for us to have randomly popped into being.

Your paraphrasing is another example of taking one thing and using it to mean another thing. The sky is green. Penguins like sand. Chocolate goes in your butt. MARSHMALLOW. Logical progression.

I stopped reading when the thread turned into an argument thread, but Ruth I wanted to tell you that your original post was very interesting, and I'd have to agree that it definitely does open up your mind to different possibilities.

My internet was messing up earlier, and I had a ping of about three seconds. I proceeded to pretend that I was on the moon, on the internet. The Moonternet, if you will.

I tell you what I was thinking during the eclipse.

"STUPID ****ING CLOUDS, GET OUT OF THE WAY OF THE ****ING SUN, I WANT TO SEE THE ****ING ECLIPSE"

>.> <.<

yes, I was near Shanghai, how could you tell.

at least i got a few pics of the sun with a bite taken out of it, and footage of the area going very dark.
