Running this test would require me to stop my torrents to get an accurate reading, so no. Besides I already know I have 2.56Mb/s down and 256Kb/s up. In real numbers that's 320kb/s and 32kb/s.

That site is never fast enough for my connection. I had to use Speakeasy. Even then I had to piece this figure together from two servers because one was too slow for testing my download rate. RIT seems to impose a 2.5 Mbps cap per connection on the upload when it bursts over 10 Mbps for more than a few seconds, which sucks. But the download is completely uncapped. Our internet connection consists of two OC-3s and some auxiliary T3s.

speedtest.net always falls a bit short of what my connection can do

speakeasy's test gives better results (chicago server.... speedtest.net's chicago server falls about 3Mbps short)

Download Speed: 10086 kbps (1260.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 905 kbps (113.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
