should I buy this TV?

I was going to get a TV when I finish school (September 4). That is less than a month away...and I just found a 42" 1080P Vizio LCD for cheep. With Bing cashback, I'm looking at $568.10 to $586.04.

In the first paragraph it says that the native resolution is 1366 x 768. I'd first find out what the native resolution really is.
Sorry for the lousy German

The first bullet point in the list also says a native resolution of 1920 x 1080. :P

And the second paragraph starts talking about a 32" model, what a crap set of stats. Unfortinately I don't know much about TVs, but I've never heard of Vizio in my life. :D
nope.

I wouldn't get a Vizio, I know a lot of people swear by them, but like most things in america, you get what you pay for.

Vizio is one of the best "cheaper" brands, actually. They're great TVs for the price.

Seems costco sells a billion vizios, or at least they used to. I'm happy with my panasonic, they sell a 50" 720p at costco for ~840 bucks and the 1080p for ~1300. I thought 50 would be overkill but I wish I bought bigger!

That's an excellent deal for a 42in (especially one that's 1080p), i would recommend looking for customer reviews before purchasing, though.

A lot of 720p/1080i TVs are 1366x768, so that'd sound right for the TV that applies to

AVSForum likes it, as do the SD guys. The reviews on walmart.com, for what they're worth, are very good as well.

I ordered one after I posted this thread - it's now out of stock online. If I don't like it, I'll just bring it back. :P
