It was actually pretty decent, maybe like a 6.4/10 kind of movie. I thought it was better than Transformers 2 since it at least didn't contain too much forced humor or felt like it dragged on. Of course the movie still have it share of cheesy moments and corny dialogue (though it has it moments like the "knowing is half the battle" reference), but I guess that was to be expected. Don't expect the same level of quality CGI as in the other recent summer blockbusters though. Additionally, I never followed the cartoon too much when I was a kid so I'm not too sure how faithful the movie is though.
Snake Eyes in my opinion made the movie. He was the epitome of badassness. Unlike those other Joes, he didn't need fancy weapons (although Scarlett's crossbow was cool) or accelerator suits. He only need his shurikens, pistol, and katana to get the job done. In every scene he was in, he always demonstrated his quality.
Instead of mindlessly staring at the fired warheads, Snake Eye took action by rushing back to that snow speeder thing and then shooting one of them down.
Another thing, I like the Darth Maul references since Ray Park plays Snake Eyes.
* Wielding the double sided electric baton like the doubled bladed lightsaber
* Sith robes (what's the explanation for this?)
* Standing by General Hawk's side like he's some sort of dark apprentice for Palpatine
* Ray Park not being able to talk at all
Oh and a sequel has already been confirmed before the movie was released. You can kind of see it being hinted at the end of the movie too.
