The NeS hasn't ended for 10 years now!

Yes, as of August 14th, 2009, The Never-ending Story Thread, better known as the NeS, is celebrating its 10th anniversary! Or as much of one as can be pin-pointed at least, since its true beginnings started at least a couple weeks beforehand.

Feel free to celebrate as the spirit moves you -- make a random story post, draw random NeS-related art, make snide comments about how it should die already, whatever works!

As for me, I will be starting the intimidating task of building the structure and content for a NeS wiki -- I'm currently in the process of having the wiki software ready to use on the domain I got picked out. You all will be sure to hear about it once I have something to show, but for now, a link would be rather useless.

ahem. Scott. Send me some feedback on my post. Without having the time to go back and read up on all the story lines, what's the basics I should know to be jumping back in here?

PM sent in reply.

As many already know, while we might not have a wiki at the moment, I still do a pretty good job filling in as one. :eng101:

When I'm able to find a reliable artist. Even the best of artists aren't useful if they don't keep working at it. I'm hoping that having a wiki resource may make it easier to hook in such an artist. It might require more, though, I'm note sure.

You should try to get into the Guinness Book of Records as the longest-running collaborative story or something.

they'd probably have to invent the category, which means we won't have any competition for 10 years. :o

Heh, as long as it's gone, I think it'd have to go a lot longer before breaking any records, as I would imagine TV series (like The Simpsons) or the like would still beat it. Perhaps it'll get there, though. :)

But this is different, This is a story assembled by hundreds of random people in their spare time.

So we just need the category:

"longest-running collaborative story assembled by hundreds of random people in their spare time."

Seems do-able to me.

Haha, well I suppose if they've got a world record for Most Individuals Killed In A Terrorist Act, anything's possible.
