What the hell is an HDDB15

I bought a cable today, an HDDB15 to Component cable, It looked exactly like the VGA to Component cable that I was in the store to buy, so I figured it was the same thing.
Later I plugged it into the older computer i'm trying to hook up to a TV, and it failed. So either the cable is defective or HDDB15 isn't what I think it is.

Anyone know? Is it just tech for VGA?

(Solved)

Second problem, The page for the cable says.
Note: This cable requires a video converter or output device that can process a YPbPr signal through an HD15 (VGA) port.

How do I know if I can, And how do I set it up?

A VGA connector as it is commonly known (other names include RGB connector, D-sub 15, mini sub D15 and mini D15) is a three-row 15 pin DE-15. ...

Thank you sir.
Upon further reading the site says:

(also yes I realized that I could have answered my own question)
(I really wish I could edit thread titles.)

God damnit.
Thanks, looks like getting a new AGP card that doesn't have a fried TV out will be much cheaper.

yep... you could even get one with DVI out and go with a DVI-HDMI cable provided your TV has HDMI input (or DVI input and go straight DVI-DVI)
