Speaking of UFOs...

a friend on Facebook just posted this:

I swear to anything I truly love that I'm pretty sure I just saw an UFO... I swear I swear

It was just going up and up in a somewhat fast traveling speed. It was sort of like a bullet-shaped with beaming and blinking green and blue and red lights.. There's no way that couldve been an airplane. OMG!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe it.. I know that was no damn airplane nor helicopter.. There was no loud engine noise that airplanes make nor the propellers of a helicopter... Geee I wonder what it really was
--------
Anyone have any speculations on what it might have been?
Or he's kinda a druggie. Maybe he was just doing shrooms. :o

yeah I highly doubt it was anything extraordinary. I'm just curious if his description matches any known current technology. He's in San Diego, btw.

Sight gets pretty unreliable at a distance, especially under certain atmospheric conditions. Probably a helicopter. OMG!!!!!!!!!

I always wonder, why do people think objects with BLINKING LIGHTS are UFOs?
They would have to have the stupidist pilots in the galaxy to put on the landing lights while doing secret earth recon.

hmm.. on the one hand I'm like "ok yeah, he's a druggie and probably overreacted." But on the other hand I'm like "Who the hell doesn't know what a helicoptor looks like? And helicopters aren't exactly shaped like bullets."

Technically, anybody who claims to have seen a UFO and isn't corrected on what it was is correct, as it would still be unidentified. Doesn't necessarily mean it's extraterrestrial or even extraordinary.

I can't help thinking it would be awesome to get a blimp, put a bunch of lights on it, and go around at night terrorizing people by hovering silently above them and suddenly turning the lights on.

Bah. I see UFOs all the time. "What is that?" "**** if I know." Doesn't mean it's aliens, just means I can't tell jet planes from satellites in the dark.

Possibly a weather balloon caught in heavy turbulence.

Dan is more of a stoner than a druggie though.
