For those of you that haven't heard and might care, Them Crooked Vultures are a new band consisting of Josh Homme on Vocals/Guitar, Dave Grohl on Drums and John Paul Jones from Zeppelin on bass and everything else, and so far from what people have heard they're kakking awesome.

They've been playing some shows around europe and at the weekend they played some surprise sets at some festivals in britland before announcing both UK and US tours today, and I might kill myself if I don't get tickets.





That's all the studio recording anyone has heard, and I'm sure you'll agree it sounds excellent so long as you aren't a [insert derogatory term here].

I'll reserve judgement until I hear more but I'm definitely not impressed with what I hear in the videos in the initial post. I saw the Foo Fighters once & was very impressed with their live performance & I of course love Led Zeppelin.

I kinda agree. It sounds sorta cool, but it's just a shallow kinda cool. Not terribly intriguing.

What a bizarre collection of musicians. It's certainly not bad, but a little too "rock" for my tastes. I don't like high pitched guitars.

Saw them at the Electric Factory in Philly. My friend mentioned them, and then a couple of days later I saw tickets on sale. They didn't have the NYC show at the time. It was amazing. Seeing Dave on drums again was nuts, and I had forgotten how great a singer Josh is. And John Paul Jones was John Paul ****ing Jones.

Can't wait 'till the 17th. None of the vids do it justice. Just wait.
