Tell me if this game exists.

I want to play a game, A game where I set up an off world colony and have to explore the area I happen to be in in order to progress, several other factions around that I can deal with diplomatically (or not), A large and open game world, and an involving plot. think basically Stargate: Atlantis- The video game.

Does such a game exist?

I think the Stargate game is back in the works, isn't it? I'm not a big RPG player, so the only thing I can recommend is KOTOR. It's offworld... you explore the areas... you can deal with the surrounding folks as you wish, more or less...

Yeah, I'm waiting for a key for the beta for that. But I'm more looking for leading a colony then being an SG team member.

Open ended and involving plot? Close to oxymoron here.

I think you'd have fun with Sid Miers Alpha Centauri. Old game, but none the less damn fun and challenging.
Nothing to see here, move along.

I personally want to see a Mirror's Edge type game that takes place on a verdant jungle with dinosaurs. A platformer + survival horror kind of game I guess.

You obviously never been to the Wal Mart at El Paso TX, back in 2000, when things were on sale.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Also, go back and try CivII if you like Alpha Centauri. CivII is the daddy.
