Anyone else pick up the re-mastered albums today? I ended up picking up the Stereo Box Set with a friend.

Mini Review: I CAME.
Think while it's still legal.

I don't have the kind of income it takes to buy that.

Nor the time to listen to Magical Mystery Tour on repeat. >.>
nope.

I want the remastered box set. I can't get it today though. I'm going to get The Beatles: Rock Band and the Gretsch Duo Jet controller in a few minutes.

I got the stereo and mono sets. Both are ****ing incredible. It's really nice to hear the originally intended mixes, as well as the new stereo mixes where each instruments gets its due

Also got The Beatles Rock Band, and it's also a lot of fun

You shouldn't get crucified for that, though. No matter how good something is, there'll be people who don't like it.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Don't worry, I've never been that big of a Beatles fan either.

Is anyone else excited for Guitar Hero: The Beatles, coming out 10/10/10 and featuring 10 Beatles songs, 5 Beatles covers, and 63 songs by artists who inspired the Beatles?

for me its not a phase thing, i grew up listening to them, they're in my top 3 bands, i might not listen to them all the time, but every once in a while i listen to them constantly.

its just damn good music whose artists created so much music with very many different meaning and many subjects that makes most people have at least one similar thing in their life as to the song and it makes them relate to the band more than any other band. thats why i love the beatles, nearly every part of my life has a musical compliment to it because of the band.

in other news, picked up Sgt. Peppers

You're allowed to not like the beatles, but you should be crucified for misspelling it. It's not like you haven't seen the word before and are sounding it out. It's displeyed in the title bar for goodness' sake.

I find that kind of thing just as annoying as people who add "the" to movie titles or band names or other things like that. I.E. My fiancée, no mTtsr how often I correct her still calls it The Watchmen. Grr.

The Beatles are okay, but I don't even like their "newer" stuff.

The stereo set is quite excellent, but the Mono remaster blew me away. It's so satisfying to be able to listen to The Beatles and not ***** and moan about how everybody else has gotten the modern treatment. It may have taken way too long, but the boys finally caught up.
