UNO logic/strategy

So what is your logic process when playing UNO? I'm trying to plan out the logic of the computer controlled players for Hot Death Uno, and my own strategy sucks, since I tend to LOSE a lot.

For instance, do you play your Draw4s and Draw2s first? Or your reverse/skips/etc? Do you tend to match colors first or numbers first if you have a choice?

I tend to play the Draw cards first, then the reversy-skippy cards, then I usually try to match colors so I can unload high-value cards. I suppose that's as good a logic sequence as any, but I'm just curious...

Well I've never played Uno, but I don't really have a strategy when playing switch. :P
nope.

It's phsychological. I have four red cards and a wild. If I play the wild and pick red, it won't be red when it gets back to me : I've just told everyone I need it to be red. Instead, I play the wild and pick yellow. 1/3 chance it will be red when it gets to me.

Don't think in terms of 'what to play first' but rather 'what do I know about the cards they have, and what have I revealed about what I have'.

I play to get rid of points. That means the Draw 2s, Skips, Reverses first, high numbers, and getting rid of all of one color so I can play Draw 4's. I hold onto one regular wild until the last card if possible, so then it doesn't matter what color it is :P

I'm a big fan of the "gangbang" strategy when it comes to cardgames like Uno. I like to stock up on cards that inflict pain, and then dump them all on someone at once.
