Spell check ruined my ability to spell.

I actually spent a good, few seconds trying to figure out how to spell out the words "coherent" and "deteriorate" correctly on paper today. I eventually accomplished this, but I still think this is just terrible. To add to that, this issue isn't new. If I had to guess, my over-reliance on spell checking programs in word processing programs to internet browsers over the many years ate away at my ability to quickly spell certain words. This is very noticeable during written exams when I spent valuable time stopping and reviewing the spelling of terms.

It's just so easy to right click and have your mess of letters turn magically into readable material. Anyone else experience the same thing? :saddowns:

No hahaha

No. Exact opposite. Spell check has made me a better speller by pointing out my mistakes.

Same as JM. If I make a mistake often enough, I'll remember the proposed correction.

I have a keyword set up on Firefox so I can look up spellings on Wiktionary. My spelling is pretty good, I just feel disconfident about words some times.

I don't think I have any programs that have spell check. Or, I just haven't noticed because I never make misteaks.
