So the newly-released Picasa 3.5 has a face recognition engine; it's currently scanning through my pictures and seems to be doing a pretty good job at identifying people. There are, of course, a few quirks.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's a feature. Sometimes it says "even recognizes pets!" on some camera box's.

iPhoto introduced this back at the beginning of the year. It's nice, but with the thousands of photos I have, it gets really tedious. It's not accurate enough to simply say "accept all", which really hurts the usability of it.

It's 30% done scanning; so far it has picked out 6 pictures of Oreo, but none of any other animals. It's a CONSPIRACY, I say!
